In early January, 2016 Kenny taught

 a jazz trombone clinic on how to practice so that the trombonist has the available technique to accomplish jazz improvisation influenced by saxophone, trumpet and piano players - on the trombone.  

 

"It just takes a little practicing of that which you want to be able to do, and training your ears, your air, lips and your arms - while you develop authentic jazz vocabulary."

 

This teaching has led to Kenny recently writing a Jazz Woodshed  Master Class article for Downbeat Magazine, to appear in the April, 2016 issue.  He continues to write up new exercises and etudes to help trombone players play with more fluidity, finess and a beautiful sound.
